Pee pee on the potty

On Monday Ella woke up with a completely dry diaper, so I decided to put her on her new little potty. After singing two rounds of "twinkle, twinkle" she went pee pee on the potty all by herself. I tried it again this morning and she peed on the potty this morning too.

Obviously not a photo moment, so our next post will have pictures.

Big Girl Chair

Ella got a great new chair from Oma and Opa yesterday. She is always watching cartoons while standing up because she didn't have a comfy, sturdy chair to sit in. This one is super sturdy and a rocking chair.

Thank you Oma and Opa!!!

Twinkle, Twinkle

Everyday at the beginning of tumbling class we sing a song to introduce everyone. After dinner (hence the messy highchair tray), we practiced the song and Ella learned what to do pretty quickly. We are so proud of our little monkey.

Dancing Machine

We turned on the hip-hop music station on cable and Ella loved it instantly. I was able to get a video of her showing off some moves.

Tumbling class #3

Today was Ella's third tumbling class. She did pretty good on the floor exercises but didn't really care much for the higher balance beams. Considering she is the youngest in the class, she is doing pretty good.

Towards the end of each class we all form a circle and the kids follow the instructions of the song we listen to. Ella likes to just dance and do her own thing.

Here is another video of the bye-bye song that we sing at the end of each class. She is usually worn out by this time and will lie down without putting up a fight.

Warm Weather Pajamas

Since it is finally warming up around here, we are putting Ella's flannel pajamas away and bringing out the spring and summer ones.

Extra thanks to Sara Sigrist (and Bri and Morgan too) for giving Ella the cute pajama dress :)

Tumbling class #2

Saturday was Ella's second tumbling class and although she didn't like to sit and stretch with the class, she loved hanging on the uneven bars (which just happens to be mama's favorite event when she did gymnastics).

Here is a picture her learning how to do a cartwheel:

At the end of the class, Mama is more tired than Ella!

Papa hugs and "Ella"

Yesterday before bed all Ella wanted to do was run from the kitchen and give Papa a great big hug.

Today I was able to take a quick video of her saying her name. I think that 'L's might be a hard letter to pronounce, but she is doing pretty good in my opinion.
Hmmm, need to work on rotating the video...will try to fix shortly.

18 month check up

Today we took Ella for her 18 month check up. Her stats are:
Height: 33"
Weight: 28 pounds even
She was just over the 90th percentile in height, weight and head circumference.

The only bad news is that Ella has a double ear infection once again. The good news is that the tubes are doing their job and draining all the fluid. So there is no pressure which means no pain for Ella. Just a few days on ear drops and she should be all better.

Here is a picture of Ella playing outside on Saturday. Another item received from the Sigrists (thank you, thank you).

Twinkling Stars

Ella started her tumbling class this past Saturday. She was definitely the youngest one in the class and she didn't want to always do what the instructor said, but she had a great time. It didn't take too long for her to learn how to walk on the balance beam and she loved when the teacher filpped her over to do a somersault.

Visiting Gumfarm

Happy 18 months Ella!!!
Today Ella and Mama went out to Gumfarm to visit and play outside. The weather was gorgeous and Ella loved running around outside. Tia Lissa showed her all the cool farm toys. Here she is on the four wheeler and on the big tractor.

Toddler Bed

The Sigrists were kind enough to give Ella a toddler bed. She isn't quite ready to sleep on it yet, so we set it up in the loft so that she can get used to seeing it and laying on it. Once I put sheets and a pillow on it, she immediately climbed on it and wanted to sit there to watch TV. Here are a few pics of our big girl with her Farrah Fawcett style hair :)
